Kids School Holiday Workshop

$50 per child per day
Join The Movement Collective these upcoming school holidays.
In this Special workshop the focus will be on strength and flexibility while also incorporating lots of fun tricks and skills as well as plenty of games to ensure a fun filled morning for everyone!
What to wear: Comfortable clothes you can move in. No shoes required
What to bring: Please bring a drink bottle. Fruit for morning tea will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own healthy snack.
As there is limited space, We encourage parents to leave their kids after signing them in. We do have a small waiting room but there are a number of nice coffee shops nearby for you to wait and relax.

CONSISTENCY IS KEY WITH FLEXIBLY/MOBILITY WE NEED TO TRAIN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM TO BE COMFORTABLE AND SAFE IN THESE NEW POSITIONS, THIS WILL TAKE SOME TIME & HARD WORK AS ADULTS BUT IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE AND THE BENEFITS ARE LIFE CHANGING.
Newcastle Parkour Workshop
Stop punishing yourself in the gym & come and move with us in Newcastle NSW, there is another way to get fit.
This workshop is a part of the 'All Movement' series where we bring in a Teacher from a specific discipline to help us broaden our movement knowledge and skills. Tim Schultz will be running the first parkour workshop starting at Blue Door 10am on Hunter st. We will run through basic parkour drills, running, jumping, crawling, hanging and maybe some soft acrobatics and improvisation to finish.
This workshop is for beginners to intermediate fitness / movement levels and no experience is needed,(Over 18 only) please step out of your comfort zone and try something new for a change......Do it.

This workshop is for the beginner mover that wants to explore what their body is capable of. You will learn some basic movements, mobility drills , handstand prep and ground flow.
If you are interested in body weight training CALLISTHENICS, movement,adult gymnastics but dont know where to start, this workshop is for you .

Contemporary Dance workshop

This workshop is part of the 'all movement' workshop series we are hosting at Tmc , bringing in new teachers from different disciplines, allowing you to broaden your movement vocabulary.
Angela has been dancing since she was 5 years old and has been teaching since 2006, she has travelled the world as a professional dancer using the skills she has learnt from her many years of practice. we are fortunate enough to have her back in newcastle and hosting this workshop for us.
What to expect:
Ballet techniques + terminology will lay the foundation first up, next we will move onto mobility and skill work, isolating the movements and gaining new ROM for use later in the day. A dance routine and improvisation will round out the workshop. I cant wait for this last part.
