The Movement Collective was created from the dream of rod cooper, a Newcastle local who has spent the last few years developing his practice and knowledge of movement. learning under some of the best movers and teachers in the world. He will be forever grateful for His biggest inspiration Ido portal and his team.
TMC really wants to give the people of Newcastle a facility to practice and learn more about thier body and what they are capable of,create new habits and develop the movement approach. its not just the fancy tricks you see on social media, our practice is a lot deeper than this. You will learn mobility,flexibility, balance,ground flow ,grace,strength, fluidity. with longevity and moving pain free our main goal. we practice all of these with a massive focus on play and never taking ourselves too seriously.
Our movement approach is inspired by GYMNASTICS, DANCE, MARTIAL ARTS, STRENGTH, CONDITIONING & CALISTHENICS. Predominately using body weight movements.
